With over 14 years recruitment experience in oil and gas with some of the worlds biggest recruitment companies, Matt has managed oil and gas recruitment businesses in Aberdeen, Houston and Calgary and is now the MD of Nathan James Recruitment.
Matt started his career in the British Army at Sandhurst before moving into recruitment, working for an executive search firm in downstream oil and gas where he helped build a business in Asia. Since moving into Upstream Oil & Gas in 2009 Matt has completed over 250 assignments for oil and gas companies across the USA, Canada, UK, Norway, Nigeria, Tunisia, UAE, Qatar, Mozambique and Australia.
Matt has built and led oil and gas recruitment teams in Aberdeen, Houston and Calgary for a variety of private and FTSE 250 recruitment businesses, but has always been a “hands on” leader. He is very passionate about working with businesses that have specialist technology to offer and also enjoys advising and assisting businesses that are looking to set up new businesses in the US and Canada.
Matt is an ICoTA member, and when he’s not working he enjoys spending time with his family and indulging in a music taste that many others describe as “rubbish”.
